Hi, I’m Cara
I’ve held a lot of different jobs. At the start of my career, I was juggling three at once—working as a line cook on a Neapolitan pizza food truck, assisting in mall property management, and writing about women’s workplace experiences at InHerSight. The last one stuck.
Today, I’m still with InHerSight, where I bring my passion for gender equity to the forefront. I’ve written 300+ articles on career development, job searching, allyship, and mental health—always with the goal of empowering women to build a career and life they love.
Outside of work, I create recipes and content for Tom & Jenny’s, write about yoga and wellness for ONEYOGAHOUSE, take far too many pictures of what I’m eating, and explore hands-on creative projects like collaging and making one-of-a-kind gifts.
Most recently, I launched The Local Plate, a newsletter where I share NYC restaurant and cafe recs, travel guides, go-to recipes, dinner party ideas, and plenty of other food- and creativity-filled odds and ends. If you’re into great food and creative inspiration…
