Welcome to The Local Plate.

I write a biweekly newsletter filled with approachable recipes, restaurant roundups, seasonal dinner party menus, travel guides, and other personal musings. I share what I’ve been cooking, baking, and bookmarking in the hopes that it’ll inspire more creative, flavorful, satisfying meals for others.

I’ve always turned to cooking as a way to make the everyday feel more special. I try to cook curiously and intuitively, often experimenting without a recipe or end goal in mind. The Local Plate grew out of a love for that ritual—of playing and putting care into plating something delicious and personal.

Each newsletter edition is a little homage to what I’m loving at the moment. I hope after reading, you’ll want to try a dish outside your comfort zone, dine at a new spot, or simply savor the creative process of cooking and eating with more joy.
